I cannot change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination-Jimmy Dean.
Life is full of uncertainties; nothing is permanent in life except change. We live in a world that is constantly changing. The only way to flow effortlessly with the vicissitudes of life is to embrace the reality of change. So many people are afraid of the challenges posed by change. And in order to avoid the price of change, they build several ridiculous defensive mechanisms to avoid the demand of change!
Superstars don’t shy away from the challenges of change. They face them and shine brightly under the illumination of change. Those who refuse to change cannot improve their status in life. Just imagine a typist trained to use the “old school” manual typewriter some thirty years ago saying that typewriter is still the best means of processing information when compared with a modern computer system! I wonder the number of people that still patronize business centers where manual typewriters are used to type major documents. It is even ridiculous to suggest holding on to manual typewriters in the face of modern computers. The world has changed from the manual typewriter generation to high-tech computer generation and the only way to fit in is to key into the change or we will easily fall by the way side and be abandoned by the train of life.
Superstars welcome changes. They are change friendly. They don’t resist change and they don’t defend their ignorance where they are found wanting. Change is permanent and we must, therefore, prepare for as many changes as possible at every point in our lifetime. That is the way of superstars; they are change friendly.
